Alchemilla Mollis, commonly known as Lady's Mantle, is a stunning plant in the Rosaceae family that grows in the forest floor. It has soft, velvet-like leaves that make water droplets bead up, creating an impressive display after rain. The leaves can also retain the water droplets and create a microclimate that can support other plants.

I was wandering on a trek in a forest when I came across Alchemilla Mollis. The delicate texture of the leaves with water droplets fascinated me.

It produces small round berries that can be toxic if ingested by humans, hence keeping them in damp conditions helps animals like ants, bees, and beetles to disperse their seeds.

In one of my trips to the forest, I discovered Arum Maculatum. The gigantic size of leaves and the 'bird nest' look at the base fascinated me.

4. Dryopteris Erythrosora

Dryopteris Erythrosora or Autumn Fern is a favorite choice among gardeners because of its ability to thrive in moist soils and shade. It is a semi-evergreen fern with delicate leaves that have a coppery-red color when they initially unfold. The reddish-brown hue fades over time, and the leaves turn dark green, and in winter, they will turn mostly brown, but some green will persist.

In one of my visits to a botanical garden, I came across Dryopteris Erythrosora. The shades of reddish-brown on the leaves were mesmerizing, and without further ado, I decided to bring this unique plant home to cultivate.

While roaming around in a rocky hilly terrain, I stumbled upon Asplenium Trichomanes. Closely observed them, and it was delightful to see how beautifully this soft plant grows among rocks.
